* It hooked me early on, and kept me going right up to the end. M.D. Abrams has written a book that kept me entertained, but that also worked my brain (How long ago did I read Chekhov?!?).
* One certainly does not have to live in North Florida to enjoy this new book! Anyone interested in mystery, ecology, and theater will thoroughly enjoy this first novel by MD Abrams.
* The book is marvelous! The plot is exciting and educational; the characters are well drawn and engaging; the story line is complex and moving along at a good pace. All in all--a very satisfying read.
* Well-written with picturesque detail of the north Florida landscape, there's both substance and engaging characters in these real life situations.
* Great book! I just finished reading it in two sittings because I didn't want to put it down. It flowed so nicely and grabbed and captured my interest.
* I don't know...the alligators, chiggers, snakes, have not made me any more likely to come to Florida. But, my curiosity is completely aroused about "the Prairieā¦the sink holes, etc., are giving me goose bumps - which I suppose is exactly what a mystery should do.
* I've now finished your book and loved it! Let's hope it helps save the prairie. Some of my best memories of Gainesville are of walks on the prairie.
* M.D. Abrams has done an outstanding job in her first novel, Murder on the Prairie. The plot is fast paced and does not linger in the climax as it comes to an ending that leaves the reader waiting for the sequel. It has a spell binding plot and mixes it with intelligent thought about art and life and unforgettable characters. Definitely a good read!
